Chapter 13- Launching Their Career with You
Now that you have hired them, it is important to keep them for a reasonable time to justify the cost of finding and identifying them. Here are some questions to ask:
Does your organization differentiate between orientation and onboarding? How?
Do your leaders invest the time to train new employees and develop existing employees by expanding their roles as presented here? How are you checking this?
Do you use surveys to determine the effectiveness of the orientation and onboarding from various stakeholder perspectives? What about regularly scheduled town hall meetings or lunches where the employees can speak directly to their leaders?
